Executive Assistant to the General Manager

International Network of Churches (INC) invites applicants for the position of Executive Assistant to the General Manager – Operations (GM), an integral role within the INC Office where your work will fuel a movement that transforms lives and communities. About INC

The International Network of Churches (INC) is a dynamic Christian denomination uniting over 120 churches across Australia and beyond, with over 10,000 people attending weekend services. Our movement extends to four P-12 Christian schools, a tertiary institution, a national charity, international initiatives, an investment scheme, and impactful ministries like childcare centres, a services office business, and Red Frogs Australia. The INC Office serves as the strategic and operational hub of the movement – the “Apostolic Engine Room” – providing centralised leadership, governance and support to our churches, schools and ministries.

The Role

INC is seeking a highly organised and relational Executive Assistant to the General Manager – Operations to provide high-level administrative and strategic support within our Oversight and Governance Lane.

This is a trusted partner role, working closely with the GM, senior leadership and key stakeholders to ensure smooth operations, effective communication and strong governance practices across the movement.

You will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, exercises exceptional discretion, anticipates needs and brings a calm, professional presence to every interaction.

Key Responsibilities

Executive & Administrative Support

  • Manage the GM’s calendar, appointments and travel arrangements
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations and briefing papers
  • Maintain well-organised digital filing systems
  • Handle sensitive and confidential matters with integrity

Communication & Liaison

  • Act as primary point of contact for the GM
  • Screen calls, emails and enquiries
  • Coordinate communication with the National Executive, Operations Board and staff
  • Prepare agendas, take minutes and track actions

Project & Event Coordination

  • Assist with planning and logistics for meetings and forums
  • Support strategic projects and initiatives
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure alignment on priorities

Governance Support

  • Prepare board packs and governance documentation
  • Maintain records of decisions, policies and procedures
  • Track compliance actions and follow-ups

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support key INC events (e.g. INC Conference)
  • Undertake additional projects as directed by senior leadership

About You

Essential

  • Proven experience (3–5 years) in executive administration
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines professionally
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital systems
  • Self-motivated and collaborative

Desirable

  • Experience in a not-for-profit or faith-based environment
