CHC School of Social Sciences and Business is looking for an Administrative Officer to join our team.

If you have strong administrative and organisational skills, excellent communication, are tech savvy and have an initiative-taking mindset, this role could be the opportunity you have been believing for.

As the Administration Officer, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the School of Social Sciences and Business. The successful candidate will engage well with various stakeholders, complete tasks accurately within deadlines, and skilfully prioritise to manage multiple tasks. As a versatile team player, you’ll enjoy assisting team members in achieving shared goals. You will also highly value creating a positive experience for all students at all stages of their college journey.

Skills/Experience- the successful candidate will possess:

·       Experience in a high-level administrative role.

·       High-level organisational, administrative and record-keeping skills.

·       Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.

·       Ability to anticipate needs for action and to take initiative.

·       Ability to work as part of a dynamic administration team.

·       Experience in advocating and negotiation to resolve issues.

·       The desire and ability to work in a collaborative, team environment and consult with stakeholders in different departments.

·       Excellent attention to detail including in all aspects of presentation of work.

·       Excellent personal presentation and an understanding of being a representative of CHC.

·       A commitment to equal opportunity and experience working with diverse populations.

·       Self-motivation, excellent time management, and organisation skills.

·       Ability to learn new software packages and be extremely comfortable with technology.

While not essential, the following would be highly regarded:

·       A relevant post-secondary qualification, Bachelor level qualification preferred.

·       Experience in an academic administration role.

 

Personal Attributes - the Successful candidate will:

·       Adherence to a traditional Christian faith and display the fruit of a mature Christian character.

·       Demonstrated sympathy with the INC Statement of Faith and the nature and aims of Pentecostal/Charismatic Christianity.

·       Commitment to the values articulated in the CHC mission statement.

·       Commitment to active involvement in a local church.

·       Interest in and care for students.

 

This position is part-time, 4 days per week (30 hours), with a strong focus on being present for on-campus class days and events. Working days can be negotiated with the Dean. Evenings and some weekend work, as negotiated, may be required from time to time.
